contractor.ca ("we", "us", "our") is a Canadian lead-generation and contractor-matching service operated in Ontario, Canada. This stage preview is not yet open to the general public. Access is limited to invited testers and stakeholders.

2. Information We Collect

When you submit a quote request or join a waitlist, we collect:

• Your name and email address
• Your postal code
• Project type and timeline
• Standard web request metadata (IP address, browser type, referral URL)

We do not collect payment information. We do not use tracking pixels or third-party ad networks.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

• Match you with licensed, insured contractors in your area
• Notify you when relevant services or sections become available
• Improve the contractor matching process
• Contact you about your quote request

We will not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Contractor Data Sharing

To fulfill a quote request, we share your name, email, postal code, and project details with up to three (3) licensed contractors relevant to your project. By submitting a quote request, you consent to this sharing. Contractors are required to contact you only regarding your stated project and may not use your data for unrelated marketing.

5. Data Retention

Lead data is retained for up to 24 months to facilitate contractor matching and dispute resolution. Waitlist entries are retained until you unsubscribe. You may request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@contractor.ca.

6. CASL Compliance

We comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). By submitting a quote request, you provide express consent to receive communications related to your request. Waitlist sign-ups constitute express consent for program-launch notifications only. You may withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.

7. PIPEDA / Privacy Act

We handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@contractor.ca.

8. Cookies

This stage preview does not use tracking cookies. We may use a single session cookie to remember your form state. No analytics cookies are deployed in the stage preview.

9. Terms of Service

By using contractor.ca, you agree to the following terms:

• You are a resident of Ontario, Canada, or are inquiring on behalf of an Ontario property.
• Information you provide is accurate and truthful.
• You will not use this service to collect contractor information for competitive intelligence or spam.
• contractor.ca is a referral service only. We do not guarantee contractor quality, availability, or pricing.
• We are not a party to any contract between you and a contractor.

10. Limitation of Liability

contractor.ca acts as an intermediary to connect homeowners with contractors. We do not vet, endorse, or warrant any contractor listed or matched through our service. We are not liable for the quality of work, disputes, or damages arising from any contractor relationship. Always verify a contractor's licence with the applicable Ontario regulatory body before beginning work.
